Ever since 2004 the Fallsview Casino Resort has occupied its superb location overlooking the spectacular and iconic Horseshoe Falls. Over those two decades it has also gained a reputation as not just a fantastic casino but also a resort that attracts major talent to perform there. Add to this a first-rate hotel and spa and it all adds up to an entertainment complex that wouldn’t look out of place in Las Vegas.
The casino is a huge 200,000 square feet which is the equivalent of three football pitches. With over 130 gaming tables and 3,500 slots machines it’s a true gambler’s paradise. The building itself is huge in scales, having once been a building owned by the Ontario Power Company and which also accommodated infrastructure for the Canadian Pacific Railway.
But the changing nature of gaming, in the area round in Ontario in particular, has meant some changes for Fallsview. Today, the best Ontario online casinos according to experts can offer a far wider range of games, as well as bigger bonuses, than their land-based rivals. This has meant declining revenues for the latter who have sought to generate income in other ways. A key method has been to attract big touring acts to appear in their performance spaces.
Fallsview is fortunate to have not just one, but two, of these, the 5,000 seat OLG Stage and the 1,500 seat Avalon Theatre. Both have a star-studded programme for the fall season which promises to be especially popular after the local summer season entertainments have come to an end.
So here are some of the upcoming shows to look forward to.
